CRICKET.
NORTHCOTE CLUB. Tlie twelfth report of the Nortbeote Cricket Club, presented at the annual meeting. stated that the second grade teajn played nine matches in the Auckland Cricket Association's competitions, winning seven and losing two. The fourth grade team was placed sixth in the competitions. It played Keventeen matches, and ten were won and seven lost. Maurice Mutton was congratulated on his elevation to senior status in the I'arnell Club. He and Bruce Donaldson had again gained places in the Brabin Cup team. The turf wicket provided in Stafford Park was a decided improvement on the matting wicket, added the report, sind conditions on this ground were ideal for cricket. Receipts totalled £38 5/10, and there was a credit balance of £ 13 8/S.

Arblaster: treasurer, Mr. R. 1,. Mutton: committee. Messrs. <1. Haylock, J. Oilmore, K. A. Tremain. D. Arblastertind 11. Chaplin ; auditor. Mr. H. Gordon Hunt. Mr. C. (J. Isbister was elected a life member in recognition of his services. Appreciation was recorded of the past services to the club of the retiring secretary and treasurer. Mr. W. F. F. Ward. Votes of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr. S. C. Arblaster. a life member, and the lnte Mr. E. C. Beale, were passed.
