ERRATIC MOVEMENTS.

LONDON STOCK MARKETS. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, September 30. The see-saw movement continues on the London Stock markets. They opened with a somewhat brighter tone after yesterday's break, but technical difficulties are considered to be at the foot ol' the trouble. Until speculative positions are finally cleared up it is apparently useless to expect stability in any of the markets.

This week the erratic tone of the past three weeks has continued to dominate the market. Last week closed with another sharp break on Wall Street, where investors have been ipanicky for some time. London was affected, but reassuring news from New York brought about some improvement on Monday. Then came Wednesday's sharp break in prices, followed by yesterday's improvement. Last week some of the Loudon brokers failed to meet obligations on settlement day, and evidently this has caused the unstable market trend. It is hoped that brokers will clear up the obligations incurred through being caught by the break in prices, in which case the underlying buoyancy of industrial conditions should reassert its influence on the market.
