BACKSTROKE SWIMMER. (Received 1O ajn.) HONOLULU, August 29. An hour after disembarking from a refugee ship from Shanghai, Adolph. Keifer, of Chicago, won a 100 yards* backstroke race at an invitation swimming meeting. His time was lm 5 3-ss— a world record. Keifer at present holds the 100 metres record at lm 4.95, made at Breslau. on November 9, 1935.
