LIKED telephoning. RANG UP EXCHANGE. TOUITG, GIRL DC CutißT. (Special.—Br Air Mall) LONDON, August 5. A 14-year-old girl who appeared at Windsor Juvenile Court was said to have repeatedly rung up Windsor telephone exchange and, when a man operator answered, to have told him she had fallen in love with his voice, suggesting that they should meet. If a girl operator answered she said she was speaking on behalf of her eon, who had fallen in love with the operator's voice and wished to meet her. Calls became so frequent that the police were informed, and next time she rang up the operator kept her talking until officers arrived at the kiosk. The girl admitted making calls, and said she did it because telephoning "gave her a thrill," and Bhe thought it fun. A charge of fraudulently neing current by making emergency calls was dismissed under the Probation of Offenders Act on her promising not to make any more calls.
