TRAWLERS COLLIDE.
WORKING OYSTER GROUNDS,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) INVERCARGILL, Wednesday. A collision between the oyster trawlers «n n l? lack O**' ™ssels-of between 80 and 100 tons, while they were working about three miles north of Ruapuke Wand this niorning, resulted in the sinki«f™ w, Bla ? Cat The sea wa * fairly SS, n . tte tlme ' and the crew of the Black Cat were safely transferred to the Rita before the former went down. Her position was marked by a buoy, and an ™ ™ a y be ,nade later to rake her. Ihe Rita returned to Bluff in a leaking condition, and is to be put on the slip tor survey and repairs. The Black Cat was the first vessel to be lost on the oyster grounds in more than 60 years during which the industry has existed in Foreaux Strait.
