WEATHER FORECAST. FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south a* Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate south-easterly winds prevailing and gradually hacking to north-easterly. Weather fair to fine and mild. Seas slight to moderate. An intense anti-cyclone covers the New Zealand area, its centre being over the northern part of the South Island. Pressure has fallen somewhat over south-eastern Australia. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate south-easterlies prevailing and backing by east to north. There is a prospect of fair and mild weather. Barometer little movement. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in tt>.« Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-east, light; sea, smooth; weather fine and clear, with a few scattered clouds; visibility, good; barometer, high and steady.
