PRIVATE HOUSE BUILDING. ONE TREE HILL REPORT. "There is not the slightest doubt that private house building has practically ceased since the advent of the Government's housing scheme, not only in this borough, but in other boroughs," commented the Mayor, Mr. I. J. Goldstine, at the meeting of the One Tree Hill Borough Council last evening, when the report of the building inspector was read. The inspector stated that during the month 11 building permits were granted to a total value of £1554, which sum included one dwelling of £1100. Since the beginning of the year 93 permits were issued, representing a value of £18.872, which was a decrease of £30,715 over the figure of £49,587 for the same period in 1930.
