Queen Elizabeth First Lady Member. RAIN MARS GARDEN PARTY. (Received 0.30 a.m.) LOXDOX. July 7. Lilies crowds witnessed the arrival of the King and Queen at Edinburgh Cathedral where the Queen was installed as the first lady member of the order of Knights of the Thistle. Hundreds of summer dresses and cart-wheel hats were ruined by a sudden deluge which washed out the King's garden party at Hfilyrood House. thousand guests lushed to the shelter of trees and marquees and others rushed indoors.
