WRESTLING.
EARL McCREADY AGAIN
TO MEET HAL RUMBERG
Ranked last season by many eminent writers as tlie >,'o. 1 wrestler oi the world, I Karl McCready was matched against Dean Detton for the championship of the world, and was beaten by the action of his second in throwing in the towel—an action which has been severely criticised. Saw McC'ready has returned to New Zealand, and on Saturday night Auckland will see him in action against Hal Rumberjs at His Majesty's Theatre. McCready lia« hud over 100 matches in New ZeaIjind, and hae been beateu only once, and Wellinfrtcm writers declare that his match there atrainst Stein last Monday was the most scientific , display witnessed for some time. But numbers, too, is a scientific wrestler and their meetinp here should provide a treat for wrestling enthusiasts. The two men are excellently matched, neither having the advantage in height or weight, and it remains to be eeen whether Rumberg's adaptability and sndden changes of attack will enable him to unseat the big Canadian. It will be a match of strength against strength, and skill _against skill. Whatever the result it will be a match packed full of interest j and incident. AMATEURS FOR SATURDAY.
