SCHOOL CHILDREN.
REQUEST TO BOARD.
i A resolution from the Waiwera School i Committee which stated the "keep to the right" rule for children on the road, as taught by the Automobile Association officers, appeared to be dangerous locally was-considered by the Auckland Education Board this morning. The committee asked for a definite instruction from the board. The senior inspector, Mr. A. Bain, said that eome teachers required stirring up a bit, as one eaw children all over the road. He cited the case of Oliinewai and added that there was a j big risk of accident. I It was agreed that the matter should be pointed out in the next circular to tenchers. Notification was received from the .Minister of a grant for the purchase of a oite for the proposed intermediate eeliool. I The chairman said the school would provide a two years' course except for those who wore definitely not taking a secondary or technical education, and for those a third-year course would be available.
