LABOUR FEDERATION.
ANOTHER AFFILIATION. A decision to affiliate with the New Zealand Federation of Labour was reached at a meeting last evening of the Auckland Local Bodies' Labourers' Union, and Messrs. H. Johnson, A. F. New bold, W. McLennan, T. Peach, S. Brunton and D. Teale, were appointed ■to represent the union at the inaugural meeting of the Auckland district council of the federation. The advantages of affiliation were directed to the attention of the meeting by Messrs. F. G. Young and J. Purtell, two well-known Auckland Union secretaries. It was decided, to pr.btest againet the entry int& New Zealand of X'ount "von Luckner, and to reject a schedule setting out the allowances for attendance to I lamps submitted by the city engineer, 'Mr. J. Tyler.
