TRAIN SCHEDULES.
BACK TO NORMAL TO-MORROW
NORTH AUCKLAND LINE. (By Telegrapn.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. It is expected that all train services on the northern line will be running according to normal time-table by tomorrow. The express from Auckland was an hour and three-quarters late yesterday afternoon in arriving at Whangarei, the delay being djie entirely to speed restrictions over sections of the line under repair. There was a particularly large number of north bound travellers, many of whom had been forced to overstay their leave in Auckland owing to the floods. With four work trains on the job the condition of the permanent -way is improving hourly. The express from Opua made good time this morning, and arrived at Whangarei less than a quarter of an hour behind time, -while the goods train from Auckland reached its destination at 9 a.m., an hour behind schedule. To cope with an immense accumulation of freight four special goods trains were run from Helensville to the north to-day, and special goods trains carrying outward cargo left from Whangarei and Maungaturoto.
