AERO CLUB BALL.
Novel Decorations At the Peter Pan. Thousands of paper petals fluttered on the ceiling of the Peter Pan last night, when the Auckland Aero Club held its tenth annual ball. Beginning at the bottom of; the stains, these gailycoloured decorations covered all the available ceiling space and, with the breeze created by the electric fans, they made a dazzling picture of shimmering colour. The sides of the dance floor were hung with fern baskets, and the cubicles, and pillars were swathed with green foliage and bamboo. Over the doorway and on the orchestra dais large replicas of the Aero Club badge were suspended, while smaller copies of the wings were hung all around the room. The supper room was a gay ecene of orange and red. In the corners were large bunches of brightly-painted flax intermingled with hydrangeas coloured in autumn tones and sprinkled with silver epangles. On the tables the decorations were done with Iceland poppies and asparagus fern, and beneath each vase a tiny garden was arranged consisting of orange flowers and cotton wool representing snow.
