TRAINING ABROAD.
N.Z. DEFENCE OFFICERS. ARTILLERY AND CAVALRY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, said to-day that arrangements had been made recently for two junior artillery officers to attend a three months' course of instruction at the school of artillery, Sydney. He had also been able to arrange for three noncommissioned officers to attend a three months' cavalry course at Randwick. On their return they would be posted as instructors with mounted rifle regiments. The Minister said ho was considering the question of reinstituting exchangee of officers with Australia and possibly with India.
