WORK ACCUMULATES.
SUPREME COURT SESSION. ONLY ONE JUDGE SITTING. The fact that for the past three weeks only one judge has presided over the Supremo Court has caused an accumulation of work, as well as inconvenience to counsel who have cases set down for hearing. The position was made more acute when one action, in which the reliability of a will was in dispute, oetu-
pied 12 days, and. except for occasional undefended divorce petitions, bankruptcy adjudications, sentencing of prisoners, and what may be described as minor matters, Mr. Justice Reed lias had little opportunity of dealing with matters awaiting attention. | The resident judges in Auckland are ' Mr. Justice Fair and Mr. Justice Callnn. Mr. Justice Fair returned from Hamilton on Saturday last, but has not been 1 on the Bench this week. | Mr. Justife Callan is at present in . Wellington sitting on the Court of Appeal.
