WORLD BOXING TITLE.

BRITISH BOARD'S DECISION.

(Received 11 a.m.)

LONDON. June 3d

The British Boxing Board of Control announces that it is recognising the Farr-Schmeling light. at London in August or September, as a bout for the heavy-weight world championship. This is because the Schmeling v. Louis contest was the final elimination match for the world championship, and it was decisively won by Schmeling. It was the German's right to meet Braddock, who. by withdrawing, forfeited his claim to the title. Hence the Braddock v. Louis fight at Chicago is regarded only as deciding the American championship.
