DUXEDIN", this day. The death lias occurred of Mr. Saul Solomon. K.C.. one of the Dominion'# leading advocates in his day. Mr. Solomon was born in Melbourne in 1857. and was educated at the Boys' High School, Dunedin. He w-as dux in 1872, and gained a junior university scholarship. He gained bis B.A. in 1874, and abandoned medicine far ft. law course. At one time he was clerk to Sir Robert Stout, late Chief i Justice of Xew Zealand. Mr. Solomon ] was admitted a barrister in 1879, and I took Mr. A. E. Gascoijrne into partnership. He was made a K.C. in 1907. Mr. Solomon was an ex-president of the Dtmedin .lockey and at one time uui.oil well known horse*.
