Mr. Henry Edgar Russell, owner, pro- j ceeded in the Supreme Court, Sydney, ' against the Commissioner of Road Trans- j port and Tramways to recover £'2000 damages owing to injuries to the racing | colt Mala, when he was struck by a train- j car at Randwiek on Derby morning, October 3, 1936. i The jury returned a verdict in favour of plaintiff, and awarded him £1500 damages. A stay of proceedings was granted.
