BOOKMAKING CHARGE.

COROMANDEL, Wednesday,
Before Mr. F. H. Levien," S.M., David Skinner Strongman pleaded guilty to a charge of bookmaking and was convicted and fined £10.
Sergeant Harrison, of Thames, stated that as the result of complaints from Coroniandel residents a constable was sent from Auckland and accused took odds with him.
