Seventy women, aped from 20 to 7" representing Britain's 10.000 wonie - : bowlers, contested the English. Scot - and Welsh international at Glasgow and conformed to the rules prohibiting smoking on the green, playing bareheaded. insisting that dresses must be reasonably long, shadow-proof and not silk, and that players must kneel when measuring in order to avoid unseemly disturbance of -kirts.
