HOSPITAL LEVY.
MOUNT ROSKILL.
The affairs of the Auckland Hospital Board were reviewed last night by the chairman, the Rev. W. C. Wood, in an address to the Mount Roskill Road Board. He said his board was the largest in the Dominion, and was run at loss cost to the ratepayers than any public hospital in the other three centres. Mount Roskill's levy for charitablc aid in 1930-31 was £2&29 17/4. This year it is £2271 4/7,' a decrease of £058 12/9. This was partly accounted for by the revaluation of the d : «t.rv*t. 'I Ihmv» Wfiv 3C local bodies in the Auckland district contributing to the Hospital Board s revenue. The road board chairman, Mr. C. M. McC'ullougli, said the remarks of Mr. Wood were much appreciated. His board would be satisfied with the information given. 'This statement was confirmed by the board's resolution thanking the deputation lor their visit.
