WEATHER FORECAST.
FOK CITIT AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist ! issued to the " Auckland Star " this i afternoan the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, ; Kawhia end ;:amiltcn:— Moderate to strong east to southeast winds of gate force in places, but gradually decreasing. Weather cold and srually, wuh heavy rain at times, but slcwly improving. Ssas rough. Pressure is still rather low in the far north, but has risen further ever most of the Dominion. An intense anti-cyclone extends from Australia across the Tasman Sea and the South island. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: Indications are for southerly moderate to strong winds, with gale force in places, but gradually decreasing. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, with passing heavy showers. Barometer unsteady, but has a rising tendency. Seas rather rough to rough. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon I to-day:— I Wind, east-north-east, strong to I gale at times; sea, rough; weather, overcast, with heavy rain; visibility, poor; barometer, steady.
