WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Light to moderate variable winds, shortly tending to northerly. Weather mainly fair, but some isolated rains likely, more especially in the northern area. Temperatures moderate. Seas slight to moderate. An anti-cyclone of slight intensity is crossing the Dominion, while a shallow depressicn covers the western Tasman Sea. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but shortly moderate northerlies prevailing. Mainly there is a prespect of fair to cloudy weather, but some scattered rain probable, more especially in northern part. Barometer little movement. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. Tho following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, northerly, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine and clear, with passing clouds; visibility, good; barometer, rising slowly. |
