THIEF'S PROBLEM.

REMOVAL OF GOODS. CAMBRIDGE BURGLARY. (From* Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE. Saturday. Entering through a skylight, a thief visited the premises of Mr. C. R. Hawortli, stationer, in Victoria Street, some time last evening or early this morning. However, the intruder found that all the doors were padlocked and it was necessary to make his exit the way he had come, taking only a small portion of the stock he had gathered together. On arrival at his business this morning Mr. Ha worth found the glass of a skylight removed and a stepladder standing underneath. A fanlight had also been opened and footmarks showed where someone had endeavoured to scramble out, but without success.
