SHIPPING NEWS OF THE PORT.

DUE TO-MORROW.

MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY. PORT HUNTER ARRIVES. TWO FHOSFHATK CARGOES. The port is very bare of oversea >>liips at present, but will improve during the week. The Union Company"o passenger liner Maunganui will arrive from .Sydney at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow, and berths at the western side of Prince's wharf. IS he sails on her return to Sydney «t S p.m. on Thursday. The Port line steamer Port Hunter, 8430 tons. Captain ■T. J. Hudson, arrived this morning from Wellington. She is for final loading here and sails for London, via Panama and Curacao, late on Thursday evening. She ies due at London on July lti. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Com pa n v are local agents. Two large cargoes of phosphate for Auckland arc available. The Kaiwarra arrived yesterday morning from Nauru Island and is discharging at the King's wharf, and the Columbia is due to-morrow, also with a full cargo from Nauru. Melbourne Star left Auckland at 4.20 p.m. on Saturday and arrived at Wellington at •!.■>.") a.m. to-day. after a smart passage- of 3Sh *2 5 m (15.5.L.) H.M.S. Leith sailed shortly before 11 a.m. to-day oil her cruise to the Islands. Suva is her first port of call. (Naval Dept.) Matua sailed on Saturday afternoon for Nukualofa. Apia and Suva. She is due back on June l(i. (I'.S.S. Co.) Stockwell, which arrived from New York on Saturday, is di-charging at Queen's wharf. She is •■xpected to leave for Wellington on Friday. (F. Co-op.) Monterey arrives at Suva to-morrow morning from San Francisco. She sails at 5 p.m. for Auckland, and arrive* at 7 a.m. on Friday, sailing for Sydney at S p.m. the same day. (H. and M.) Nucula. the Admiralty tanker, is due from Los Angeles to-morrow, but lias not yet reported. (Naval Dept.) Westmoreland, which loaded here last week, left Opua on Saturday afternoon for (iisborne to continue loading for London. (N.Z.S. Co.) Canadian Conqueror i« due next Saturday from Napier for final loading for New York, Boston and Halifax. (N.Z.S. Co.)
