DOMINION WOOL SALES.
SUBSTANTIAL DECREASE. Sales of wool in the Dominion for 11 months of the season show a fairly large decrease on the previous season, according to returns compiled by Dalgety and Company, Limited. Dominion offerings comprised 686,778 bales, of which 681,870 bales were sold, while the corresponding figures for 1935-36 were 786,311 and 753,976! During 1 May, 628 bales were offered and all were sold. Exports of wool during May totalled 74.277 bales, of which 8835 bales were shipped from Auckland and Opua. For the 11 months' period 790,418 bales were exported, against 892,268 bales in the previous season, the Auckland and Opua figures being 90,375 bales and 99,217 bales, respectively.
