ALL BLACK OUT.
H. T. McLEAN BREAKS THUMB. SIDELINE FOR SIX WEEKS ? Grafton* captain and All Black forward, H. P. McLean, broke a bone in his right thumb in the big match of the day between Grafton and Ponsonby at Eden Park on" Saturday. He will probably be on the sideline for five or six weeks. Bad luck continues to follow McLean. Injured the previous week in the GraftonManukau match at Eden Park, he was forced to retire. Saturday's game was not very old when he was severely knocked on the thumb. He gamely played on, but the thumb gradually swelled until, a quarter of an hour before the end, he realised it would be unwise to continue. An X-ray examination revealed severe damage to the thumb and McLean went into hospital on Saturday night for an operation. GAMES IN THE SOUTH..
