WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate to strong north-west to westerly winds, later baching in places to south-wes ?rly. Weather changeable-and squally, with scattered showers mainly in the western area. Seas moderate, but rising on the west coast. A deep westerly depression is advancing across the south Tasman Sea, while pressure is relatively high to the north. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate to strong westerlies, backing in places to south-west. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, with scatlsrc A showers mainly in western area. E»;meter unsteady. Seas moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in ths Kaurnki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, west, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine, but cloudy and hazy; visibility, poor; barometer, rising slowly.
