SURVOY SPRINTS.
A SMART SIX. A particularly smart, six furlongs by Survoy was the feature of the work at Takanini this morning. The middle grass was available, but the going was heavy after overnight rain. Saccone (Green) and High Sea (Rule) were together at the end of a round, the last five furlongs occupying 1.12. Highborn (Burgess) also accomplished useful work over a circuit. Silver Glow (Stratton) and Disturbed (Rule) completed their work with a brush, up the straight. Lap Up (C. G. Goulsbro) was sent a. mile, increasing the pace over the final five furlongs, to run this section in 1.9. He w.is being kicked up at the finish. Grateful (Ooulfibrol was timed to run seven furlongs in 1.36, the last six furlongs taking 1.22. Mia Acrea (Stone) assisted him over thp last five furlongs, which occupied 1.7 3-5. and they were together at the end. . Spearcourt (Goulsbro)_ and Mies Lovelock (Bartle) were associated over threo furlongs from the seven furlongs to the half-mile, in 39 3-ss. Spearcourt was afterwards sent another round at a slow pace, but was not timed. Royal Passage and Professional were allotted two rounds of useful pace work. Survoy (Hatwell) showed his customary dash over six furlongs run in 1.17, the first three furlongs occupying 375. Fox Moth (Green) assisted him over the last halfmile in 535. High Quality (Walters) and Lady Ruler (Curwen) _ did strong work over two miles, increasing the pace to run the last six furlongs in 1.21 1-5. T?oth worked freely, especially Lady Ruler.
