SWEET ROSE SPRINTS FAST. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") TE AWAMUTU, this day. The flags were out "2,n't on the course proper at Te Awamutu this morning. The going was holding, and there was very little doing. Loombination was sent a mile and a quarter in 2.20, time upon which lie could have improved. Hutana ran six furlonjs* in 1.20 1-5. Sweet Rose, who had the assistance of Te Monowai over the last three furlongs, completed six furlongs in 1.17%. Tuaheahe was sent five furlongs, taking 1.8. He worked well. Yalpai was sent a mile and a quarter, but was not above three-quarter pace. Besiege came home from the six-furlong peg in 1.20 i 2-5, and could have improved on this. Lady Diana and Baroscope were schooled separately over the pony fences, botli jumping safely. Doing pace tasks on the inner plough were Tonnerre. Illuminagh. the -Vaals— Gold Bud filly, Ngakaru, Nugg<?t. Gallio. Lady Astrid .and Corato, a gelding by Oration —Biddy Comet. Additional riding engagements are: C. G. Gnulsbro.
