SELECTOR'S TASK.
TRIP TO AUSTRALIA.
REP. GAMES A GUIDE.
1 lie New Zealand hockey selectors, Messrs. W. Xewehain (Auckland), E. Or. McLeod i Wellington) and C. C. Holland (C'hristchurch), will have a busy time ahead ot them for the next fortnight or so. Messrs. Newshani and McLeod were at Kemuera on Saturday watching the representative match 111 tlie morning and the club games in the afternoon. Next Saturday they will all be watching the Canterbury v. Southland match at Christchurch, the latter team including the Otago nominations, whilst 011 June 9 they will attend the meeting of Canterbury and South Canterbury. The final trial which the selectors will be watching will be a representative game at Wellington on vune 12, the teams to include the Nelson. Marlborough, Taranaki, Wairarapa and Wellington candidates. The team to go to Australia will be announced after this match, and nominees will know their luck. Sixty-six Nominated.
