BOY IS KILLED.
SHOT IN FOREHEAD. DIES IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. Shot in the head . while target shooting near Godley Heads lighthouse, Lyttelton, this afternoon, Sejlwyn Walker, aged 15, suffered injuries from which he died in hospital this evening. With three other boys Walker had been shooting at a tin on„the beach below the cliffs. He went forward to examine the tin and one of the other boys attempted to fire a shot out to sea, but tlie rifle did not discharge. The boy concluded that it was not loaded a'nd, with the trigger still pressed, lie swung round. The riHe at once fired and the bullet entered Walker's forehead near the left temple. . • ' f With the assistance of a m % n > the boys carried their companion iip ftp the lighthouse. A telephone message was «ent for an ambulance. Walker was taken to the hospital and died at 8.20 p.m.
