DUNEDIN MILK SUPPLY.
MUNICIFAUSATION URGED
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. To my mind, the solution of vour problem lies in the municipalization of the milk supply and distribution. To effect to this, a loan of about £250,000 will be necessary, but I doubt if it would be carried, as the ratepayers probably consider they are getting* an adequate supply, and are not otherwise interested. I say definitely that if I were in the Minister's place to-day I would refuse, considering' the chaotic state* of the marketing of milk, to fix the price >for the producer and consumer," said Mr. J. W. Munro, M.P., when asked to speak to a meeting of the Milk Producers' Association. The meeting was called to consider steps should be taken to further fight for higher prices for milk on the farm. Mr. Munro suggested that the association should organise effectively and keep pushing at the City Council to institute municipal control. He detailed the steps , at , le d to the formation of the fe " . : a wl. Milk. CbunciJ, which had got UN 'but had not got anyI"';. thin »il%*v'C<ftnplete control. ■*
