The finale of the open tournament held this week by the Rotorua Ladies' Golf Club, played yesterday, resulted :—
Championship.—Miss J. Duncan (Wanganui) beat Miss 3. Stewart (Wtaangarei), 2 and 1. &
Arikikapakapa Cup.—Mrs. J. M. Wilson (Auckland) beat Mrs. Colegrove (Auckland),

The course was in splendid order and two days of line weather and sunshine had made the turf much more lively than during the opening stages of the tournament. Additional Interest was created by the youth of the two finalists. Both played good, sound golf, but Miss
Duncan's invincible coolness showed that she possesses true match temperament Miss Stewart, on the contrary, was plainly nervous, and suffered thereby. «" a,DI J Miss Duncan was superior off the tees and lost very little on the greens ; whereas Miss Stewart, who was strong with her woods during the semi-finals, did not get the same length and direction as bV.r opponent.
