BOAR'S RUSH INTO TOWN.

SAD SEQUEL TO HUNT.

BELGRADE. An extraordinary tale of havoc caused by a wild boar was reported recently from the little Macedonian town of Kitchevo. A short time ago a boar, which had been wounded by hunters, appeared in the town and rushed into the house of Benka Shatchirovitch, a Moslem woman, and attacked her, seriouely injuring her arm.

The boar's next adventure was to attack a Dervish as he emerged from the mos([ue, throwing him to the ground and tearing up hie long robes. It was eventually stopped in its career down the main street and killed by a group of men with axes.

A dispute then arose between those in at the death as to their ehare of the meat, which was further complicated by the arrival of two horsemen, who claimed it as entirely theirs. This incident was comparatively easily eettled by the division of the carcaee among all concerned; later developments, however, are much more serious.

First. Benka Shatchiroviteh has eued the hunters who drove the boar into the town for £400 damages, on the ground th«t she is not only incapacitated for work. but. under 'Mnsk-m law. has heroine ineligible f ,>r marriage, owing t'> contact with an unclean animal.

Secondly, the unfortunate Dervish is considered to have been similarly defiled, and the question of his expulsion from ollice in the mosque iis now being considered.
