Brighter business on Exchange this morning saw a wide range of sales and ' several price appreciations. Concessions | from sellers 1 were made only in isolated instances. Goldsbrough, Morts moved up 3d. Guarantee Corporations recovered to 4/9, after a spell at the low rate of 4/6. Coal, gas and brewery scrip were quieter. I Xew Zealand Breweries had business at the unaltered price of £2 19/9, Westport, Stocktons holding lute rates and Christ-1 church Gas being uncertain, with sellers at £1 7/8. British Tobaccos fell to £2 8/9, compared with last sale at £2 10/2, and further sellers offered at the sale price, buyers 3d below. Broken Hill looked better, and Zincs, in spite of the reduction of 7d in the sale of preferences, finished steady, with buyers for the ordinaries at £2 17/7, and for the preferences at £2 18/2. Improved offers came in for General Industries, G. J. Coles and Dunlop, Perdriaus. Mount Lyells were fairly steady, and Morgans recovered a few pence. (By Telegraph—Press Association.)
