Injuries which proved fatal were suffered by Mr. Joseph Reynolds, aged 84, a porter at the Arowhemia Hotel, near Timaru. to-nijrht when i;i cross'ng the road in front of the hotel lie" walked in front of a motor ear driven by Mr. Russell Craiff, of Geraltllne. Mr. Reynolds, who had been at the hotel for I<> years, went out to collect a newspaper and apparently did wot see llje car.
