FATHERLY BISHOPS.
WORK TO HELP YOUTHS.
After an interchange of j«il»its between Britain and the United States, a vicar, the Rev. E. >*„ Porter Goff, said he liked the fatherly attitude of the American bishops to the young people, and their anxiety to bring youth into the church, and he thought that the greater spirit of team work in the churches was due to the fact that each church vestry selected its vicar and therefore felt bound fT> support its choice. He said that, while British people judged Americans by their films, they judged Britain by its films and thought that every Englishman lived in a castle. It wag the task and responsibility of Britain to see that the two great nations learned the best of each other.
