STOWAWAY SENTENCED.
STRANDED IN SYDNEY.
Stanley Thomas Sands, aged 25, pleaded guilty in the Police Court this morning, before Messrs. Dawson Donaldson and .John Donald, J.P.'s, to stowing away on the Port Denison. and was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment. Senior Sergeant Flanagan the accused was a seaman anrl had been working in New Zealand from !f«25 to 1931. Subsequently he went to Sydney and became stranded when he rr.i.-sed his boat back to the Dominion. then ctowed away «ri the Port Denison On the Port Denson lie worked well He was a man of good character, but had no money, and he knew no one to whom he could apply for the fare, £7 10/.
