The Anal shoot for the service shooting championship of the Auckland City Defence Rifle Club was flred" at 300 yards on Saturday, the practices being five shots application, five shots snap shooting on the ordinary target, ten rounds rapid in 40 seconds, and ten rounds at the snap shooting disc. Sighting was diflicult, but shooting was again of a high standard. The championship was won by R. C. Rnssell with an aggregate of 349, next in order being C. J. M. Clark 342, 8. C. Parkinson and A. G. Devore with 341 each, I. J. Spry 335, and H. Simmonds 330. With added handicap*, spoons were won by R. C. Russell and A. W. Harris. Scores off the rifle, were : — • A. G.
