Pastoral shares were strong, buyers for Dalgetys moving up to £11. Better offers were forthcoming for Farmers' Auctioneering and for New Zealand Loan and Mercantile. Sellers of both British Tobacco and G. J. Coles raised their limits, leaving buyers unchanged. A buyer came in for Mount Lyells at £2 10/3. Woolworths (Sydney) had reported business at £7 9/, a rise of 1/, but in the room they dropped back 6d to sales at £7 8/6, final quotations being from £7 8/ to £7 8/6.
