NORTHCOTE SHOW.
WAITEMATA SOCIETY'S SUCCESS. The Waitemata Horticultural Society's autumn show, held in the Northcote Parish Hall on Saturday afternoon, was most successful. The flowers made a very attractive display and there were many very fine blooms in the large and varied collection of dahlias. The dahlias and native flora were judged by Mr. R. Thornton and the flowers, fruit and vegetables by Mr. George Mills, the decorative and children's classes by Mrs. Alfred Bayly, and the home industries by Mrs. Eric Chambers. The sum of £5 was raised for the Xorthcote Kindergarten in the bring-and-buy stall, which was in charge of M-?s----dames J. Blake, A. C. T. Winkelmann, A. E. H. Harrison, W. Powell and A J W. Hodder. The champion bloom in the show was the Victoria cactus dahlia exhibited bv Mr. P. R. McMahon, of Epsom.
