ONESOA COMPETITIONS.
A programme of five events held at Oneroa yesterday by the Wniteinata Surf Life-Saving Club saw eome close competition, resulting in the Takapuna Club winning the C. A. Edenborough and the D. B. Mulvihill cups. Takapuna produced one of the strongest swimming teams eeen in action this season and surprised the v\aitemata Club, which last week-end won the Johnston Pennant for R and R teams.- TUe Karekare and North Shore teams showed good form, but they lacked precision. The results were as follows: — Surf Teams Race, for the C. A. Edenborough Cup.—Takapuna (E. Stevens, E. McCaffery, A. Warren, A. Mclntosh) 1, Waitemata (holders) 2, Karekare 3. Pennant Race.—Karekare (O. James, J. Beale, E. De Sonsa, U Reid) 1, Takapuna 2, North Shore 3. Rescue and Resuscitation Teams' Race, for the D. B. Mulvihill Cup.—Takapuna (G. Price. K. Price. J. Price, E. McCaffery, A. Mclntosb, E. Stevens), 94J points, 1; Waltemata, 94*. 2; Karekare, 79i, 3 North Shore, 744, 4. Waitemata, with Wallace as patient, had d substantial lead, but. K. Price, the winners beltman, put up a particularly fine swim to win by one eeconJ from L. Thompson, of Waitemata. Surf Belt Bace.—A. Davis (Takapuna) 1, P< Shannahan (Waitemata) 2, R.
