Details of the largest passenger liner yet ..to be built for the England-Australia-New Zealand trade, ordered 'by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, are civen by the Melbourne agents.-V ■ The company lias placed an order at Wallscnd-on-Tyitc for a motor liner of 20\,000 tons, carrying 000 cabin class passengers. The ship is being constructed on the same slipway on which the famous Maurctania was built. She will be used on a new servicc, voyaging to New Zealand via Capetown, Durban and' Australian ports. In addition to her ordinary cargo space, the vessel will have 500,000 cubic feet. of refrigerated space, and 65,000 cubic feet for the carriage of chilled [ beef. She is expected to make her first voyage early in 1939.
