PRESENTATIONS.

After having been connected with the Star Hotel, Albert Street, for many years, as licensee. Mr. B. Gothard has resigned. J>ast evening he was met by a larjre number of his friends, which included many business men, and on their behalf Mr. Harold Jones presented him with a solid leather travelling case, travelling rug. safety razor and cigarette holder. Mrs. Gothard was presented by Mr. S. Clark with a handbag. Regret that Mr. and Mrs. Gothard were leaving the hotel was expressed by Mr. Jones and Mr. Clark and other speakers, who referred to the high esteem in which they had been held. Presentations were also made by the staff to Mr. and Mrs. Gothard.
