DISORDERLY SEAMAN.

TROUBLE IN ROADHOUSE. SMALL FINE IMPOSED. Arrested last *night on a charge of aeing disorderly while drunk in the Pig and Whistle roadhouse, Thomas Andrew White, aged 35, a seaman, pleaded guilty when he appeared before Messrs. S. H. Brittain Bull and S. Leah, J.P.'s, in the Police Court this morning. Sub-Inspector Fox 6aid White, with other seamen, entered the Pig and Whistle roadhouse. They had been there only ten minutes when White started to act in a disorderly manner. He persisted in this conduct to such an extent that the proprietor had to send for a constable who lived nearby. The constable quietened White, but as soon as he left trouble started again, and the constable was forced to arrest him. "In a general way this man was disorderly.' said Mr. Fox" "He did not assault anyone and no one was hurt. He is very apologetic this morning." White cold the presiding justices that he felt foolish for what he had done and was very sorry for the trouble he had caused. "We only arrived in port at 5.30 p.m. yesterday, and, meeting some friends I had not seen for some time. I had far too much to drink." A fine of 10/ was imposed.
