MOTHERS' UNION.
PAPATOETOE. The first meeting for the year of the Mothers' Union, Papatoetoe branch, was held in the St. George's Church, Papatoetoe, yesterday. A presentation wa*i made to Mrs. W. Burrill, who has resigned lior position as secretary of the liranch and who is going on a trip abroad. The president, Mrs. W. J. Xicholson. paid a tribute to Airs. BurrillV. good work during her nine years' office as secretary. .Mrs. Burrill was also presented with a beautiful bouquet by Mrs. J. .lenkins. who is one of the church's foundation members. Officers elected were: Airs. W. J. Nicholson, president; Airs. F. Burnside, secretary; Airs. Staeoy-Clarke, associate member; and Miss. A. Hooker. organist.
