SOUTHLAND DECISION. CURTAILMENT OF HOLIDAYS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Friday. All schools in the Southland district have been closed until after Easter. Until today the only schools officially closed were those in the city or within a five-mile radius of it. hut it lias now been decided to close the other schools, as some attendances have been seriously affected for a variety of reasons. Teachers at both the primary and the secondary schools have suggested that there should he a curtailment of holidays later in the year, and that subject is under consideration by the Southland Education Board.
