COLONEL DUIGAN. APPOINTMENT MADE. TO COMMAND N.Z. FORCES. GENERAL BURGESS RETIRING. (By Telegraph.—Press Assoeiiacn.) WELLINGTON, this day. The appointment of Colonel J. E. Duigan as General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Forces, in succession to Major-Geueral Sir William SinclairBurgess, was announced to-day by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones. Sir William Sinclair-Burgess is retiring at the end of the month on superannuation.
