■ UNDEFENDED DIVORCES. i AN* "F.XTRAORDrXARY (.'ASF..'' Further undefended petitions in divorce were heard by the Chief Justice. Sir Michael Myere, and Mr. .Justice Callaii in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon. "There are some extraordinary features in this case, your Honor," said Mr. J. J. Sullivan, who ap[*:ared for hlizalx'th Maud Arnold, who ]>etitioncd in divorce against Frederick William Arnold on the ground of separation by agreement. "The petitioner married to a Mr. Coodman. hut (ioodman d i \meed her. Arnold divorced his wife and tlien Mr*. (Goodman married Arnold. ai|d Mr*. Arnold married <loodinan." Mr. Justice C'allan (smiling'; I>iil you say extraordinary, Mr. Sullivan'.' The petitioner gave evidence that she and Arnold in April. 1931, entered into an agreement to separate, since w lien they had not lived together. A decree nir-i was granted. RESTITUTION ORDERS. Respondents having failed to comply with orders for restitution of conjugal rights, decrees nisi were granted petitioners in the following vases;— John <iates (Mr. Dickson i. against Margaret (iilie-on < iates; William Isaac Wallace (Mr. Schramm), against Audrey May Wallace; Harrv Ilughlings Jackson (Mr. West i. again-t Gertrude Lucy Jack-on; Alexander Alder ton (Mr. Lennardi. against Moya Esmeralda Ailecn Alderton. SEPARATION GROUNDS. Dedees nisi were granted on the ground of separation for tliree years or more to the petitioners in the following canes: — Henry Andrew Walker (Mr. Sullivan I, against Mary Walker; Lilian Merrick (Mr. Dickson), against I'eter Merrick; William Birt (Mr. Schramm i. against Xohl Birt; Florence Wheeler (Mr. Hogben), against Kric George Wheeler. ORDERS TO RETURN. An order to return to the petitioner. Kvelyn \ iolet Hayward (Mr. Scluanuni within 14 days wa*s made against Wil fled Alexander Hayward. who left petitioner in November, lit:!."). A similar order was also made in the petition of Leila Dunstan Macknight (Mr. Sulli van) against William Cranfoid Macknight. F.dna Cenevieve Jane Atkinson (Mr. Meekj against Shelly Hyron I Atkinson. DECREES GRANTED. Desertion was the ground upon which decrees nisi were granted petitioners in the following cases: — F.tlicl May Brownson (Mr. Singer), against Victor Hrownson; Olga Kathleen l'illey Ross (Mr. Singer), against William Andrew Record Ross. A decree nLsi was granted Cecil John Beihler (Mr. Schramm) in her petition against Lydlia Olive Grace Beihler on the ground of adultery, Frederick Charles James Hall being cited as co-respondent. Adultery was also the ground on which Helen Margaret North (Mr. fi olds tine l was granted a decree against Kliiah North. • Broughton House, near Kettering, is built in four wings, to represent the four seasons of the year.
